It’s a hard pill to swallow, the idea that the person you are at work is somehow separate from who you are clocked out. We believe you are one, and your wardrobe should reflect that. Your essence, your personality, and your style shouldn't be just a uniform you put on—they should be an extension of you, a visible commitment to continuous improvement in how you perform.

 

This is the philosophy behind our debut workwear-focused design for ESSENCE. Our collection is designed for the modern professional who wants to express their personal style without compromising on comfort and adaptability. 

 

We've rethought what professional wear can be, moving away from the stiff and restrictive toward a look that is both polished and personal. ESSENCE DROP 3 is the perfect canvas to showcase our interest in the everyday productive souls, reminding the charm behind the idea that creation must come from real individuals, so you can be busy focusing on getting all the work done, one outfit check at a time.

 

 

 

What to Expect from ESSENCE: DROP 3 / 2025

 

Essence: Drop 3 / 2025 features a line-up of essential pieces with ANAABU™ signature versatility and uniqueness reimagined into workwear. In step with daily commute, lunch breaks and the transition of outdoor and indoor meetings, this collection calls for a journey to explore pinstripe, twill, gabardine and cotton poplin fabric into the silhouette, more layering options, spacious pockets, and the balanced sourcing of cosy and light materials to adapt to multiple working environments, thus elevating the daily work attire, giving “quiet confidence” that you need.

 

The tops: Our collection of shirts is designed for effortless style with unique adornment, with some notable highlights worth mentioning here. The Panelled Placket Shirt is a resemblance of our Mekar Kebaya, featuring button-up front closure with detachable placket so it can be worn as outerwear post-clocked out. The Asymmetrical Shirt offers an unconventional play of opposites, while the Batwing Shirt and the Collared Shirt are brought back for a refined office look.

 

The outer-wears: Like organising productivity that adapts to your own pace, coordinating a layering ensemble goes a long way. We want the experience to be fun yet intuitive, therefore we've reworked our best-selling Cropped Jacket from the Essence Line, and rebirth it into the Asymmetrical Jacket, the Hooded Jacket and the Long Jacket, each with added twist and different fabric options; ensuring you’re always comfortable yet looking polished, no matter the work conditions.

 

The bottoms: Good news for fans of the Hakama Pants, we've added hidden inner ties for adjustable length and layered styling. With the line between home and office blurring, we designed the Office Loose Short to be the perfect hybrid piece for a modern, semi-corporate environment, while the Pleated Waist Pants and the Horseshoe Pants offer a timeless clean tailored look. Something new to look forward, for women especially, are The Side Pleated Skirt, an A-line skirt with hidden side patch pocket beneath the pleated layer; and The Skirt Pants, a dual identity long pants with knee-length outer layer, which also comes with hidden inner ties for adjustable length just like the Hakama.
