Agak-agak apa asam garamnya?
Isi-isi yang menjadikan kita, kita.
Masam manis yang berjenis.
Dari rasa ke perasaan.
Sedapnya rasa kerana ramuan,
Bermaknanya rasa kerana hubungan.
Setiap rasa ada bahan asasnya,
ada juga pahit manisnya.
Begitu juga dengan isi-isi.
Ada kata kerja dan ulang caranya.
Rasa-rasanya, apa ya?
Yang gaul ulang-ulang
Yang ikat ketat-ketat
Yang lipat kemas-kemas
Selebihnya,
kita agak-agak saja.
Yang penting belajar sama-sama
dan sama-sama belajar.
Kerana isi-isi yang sebati,
lahir dari masa, tekad dan naluri.
Itu yang mengekalkan kita menjadi…
Kita.

We are welcoming the second serving of ISI-ISI. As we transition into the next chapter of the festive season, ISI-ISI evolves to honour the extended flavours of festive wear, this time for Eid.
We continue to rediscover our identity through the lens of popular Malaysian food and delicacies, looking at the form and texture of the Ketupat Palas, Lemang, Kek Lapis, Kuih Koci and Roti Canai as festive wear designs to be worn on Eid. Unique to this chapter are additional pieces designed to anchor your wardrobe: Daun Pisang Samping in 3 colourways and Long Saprah Shawl in 4 colourways; a significant tribute to a feast finishing layer that brings communal togetherness.

Set as one of our key products, the Long Saprah Shawl comes with embroidered motifs inspired by Malaysian delicacies and ingredients such as Bunga Telang, Bunga Kantan, Jantung Pisang, Bunga Cengkih on each corners respectively, scalloped with embroidered edges for a refined finish. Designed for those who wear their Eid ensemble like a finished poem, each shawl features our signature ISI-ISI embroidery: “Apa yang menjadikan kita, kita?”.

An affectionate nod to Ketupat Palas, the Ketupat Palas Kebaya Janggan reinterprets the kebaya in a wrap-front silhouette inspired by the folded geometry of ketupat leaves. The overlapping panels intersect gently across the body, like the woven form of Ketupat Palas, to be paired with its dual-layer knot skirt.

Inspired by Lemang slow-cooked and deeply rooted in ritual, Lemang Baju Melayu honours restraint as a form of craft. Cut in a relaxed, modern Baju Melayu silhouette, the top features a softly structured body that will seamlessly complement its Lemang Straight Pants.
The Koci Kimono Outer and Koci Dress are our own translation of the rich exterior and interior of a Kuih Koci, defined by our thoughtfully sourced fabric, embroideries and beads that give nods to the delicacies’ gluttonous outer layer with surprise gula melaka and coconut fillings.

Kurung Kedah has its own crowd, and this year, we are inspired by the perfect slicing of Kek Lapis, taking form in our choice of fabrics to resemble its delicacy. Designed for those who appreciate something traditional, the Kek Lapis Kurung Kedah comes with its matching Kek Lapis Knot Skirt, taking cue from the rhythmic layering of Kek Lapis where lines, folds and textures come together in harmony.

What’s flipped, stretched, and worked by hand, if it isn’t everyone’s favourite Roti Canai? The Roti Canai Keyhole Top is our take of Kurta, designed with the textured striped fabric that carries subtly the layered pull of roti canai, set to be paired with its wide-legged Roti Canai Culottes in complementing colours.

ISI-ISI is a collection celebrating Malaysia's most anticipated festivities.
